Week #4 Photos
1. Contrast between the light and dark is really nice.
2. Again, I'm liking the contrast. There's a pretty good motif of vertical lines here.
3. I really liked the contrast of the warm and cool light on this fan.
4. Even with the converging lines, there's still a lot of flat space with the mountains and the sky.
5. This also could've been super deep but getting rid of the points where the stairs met the floor made it more flat.

I love the silhouette in the first photograph—it's interesting how we can use light to flatten things. I also think that your last photograph is fascinating! Strangely to me it feels very flat and extremely deep at the same time.
ReplyDeleteYou do that really well. In Picture 3 I think it is the gray clouds splitting the mountains in half that makes the frame seems divided and so the deep space on the bottom is separate from the flat space from the sky. Super cool! Same thing with picture 5! It is deep and flat at the same time. The frame is almost split into thirds, and thats all I can come up with.
ReplyDeleteI really like how the flower is silhouetted in the first one. It is an cool exposure choice.
ReplyDeleteWow, that first photograph is the most beautiful one I think you've posted all semester. It's so beautiful and there's something really nostalgic and romantic about it (= Love love love the lighting.
