Week #5 Photos
1. I really liked the symmetry between the rectangle roofs of this bank station. There was a nice repetition of vertical and diagonal lines.
2. I think I liked the way the building's roof lines came together, and at the angle I was standing it made a really dynamic point which I thought would be nice at the center of a photograph.
3. I'm going to have to take a picture of this dang mountain every week. It's just so pink and orange and looks so nice against the bluest sky.
4. I was digging the bright blue/green on the right and the pale pink on the left and thought the space between the buildings created nice deep space and also looked a bit spooky.
5. This was mostly taken to capture the cool rhythm of line going on and the pale baby blue color of the wall. I wish the sign was different or said something different but the picture didn't feel right without something else in frame besides the wall.

I love your second photograph. It's a rather mundane subject (campus) and you managed to find a way to make it dynamic and visually interesting. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWe are digging the wides this week! The first three are a great juxtaposition together, but in the fourth it seems like you found the space between two building that don't belong together. The two walls are bizarrely different. Plus you have some good depth cues with the running pipe on the left and size difference in the brick on the right.
ReplyDeleteGood eye for interesting things! I especially like the first and last pictures. The first one has some intensity with those rectangles askew.
ReplyDeleteHaha, my first thought when I saw these was, "Sariah must really like that mountain. She probably takes a picture of it every week" so your comment about that was funny. I really like your last photo. I think the lines make for an interesting composition and the color is lovely as well.
