Week #6 Photos
1. This is my least favorite of the bunch. The horizontal lines of the door frame are crooked and it drives me nuts. But the colors are nice and that's what I really was capturing so I guess it's fine.
2. Inspired by Lauren's love for flat space and grocery store pictures. Barnes and Noble is such a beautiful place and it's amazing that they keep all those books to nice and tidy. I wish I hadn't cut off the top row of books.
3. Just sitting in this room, the walls were really underwhelming and boring. So I tried to take a picture that added some drama or excitement to the space I was in. I think the deep space on the left helps. I wish I had moved that dumb book by the chair.
4. This was really just taken because I really liked the symmetry of the layout of the building and the lights. It's not my favorite picture, but it had potential.
5. This was taken as an experiment. I found my old minolta camera the other day and was playing around with the ISO and the aperture. Kind of fun.

Woah that shot with the chair really worked well. It doesn't look boring at all to me, this location looks really interesting. I love the angle you found to make it look that way! Also I love Barnes and Noble and libraries so photo #2 just makes me happy. =D
ReplyDeleteYeah! That photo with the chair is very dynamic. You found a way to make a boring space intense and interesting! Really deep space by using converging lines.
ReplyDeleteNice set of pics. I like how each one has a different overall tone. I like the inversion of tone in the last 2 pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love love love the third photograph. It hit me like a bus, in the best way. Such dynamic framing! I totally see what you mean about the book but at the same time, it gives your eye something to be drawn to, so I think you could make it work either way!!
